"El local es la típica casa de comidas antiguas. Es oscuro y falta ventilación, pero no había comido una empanada así desde hacía mucho tiempo. La carne asada estaba espectacular, y bien servida y guarnicionada. La tortilla bien, y las sardinas también. Buenísimos, también, los calamares de la ría fritos. Comimos con cerveza y vino, también algún postre y café. El precio para 5 fue de 181,40€. Algo caro, pero todo riquísimo. El personal fue un encanto. Volveré."

"Comida tradicional de calidad . El local está reformado pero mantiene la esencia del año 1947. La carta (que si tiene, al contrario de lo que he leído en un comentario) es corta pero sin fallo, todo está bueno y las raciones son abundantes. Hay que pedir con precaución porque puede sobrar comida fácilmente Los precios de las raciones están entre los 12 y los 15 €, salvo la cadeirada de pescado que cuesta 20 €. Muy recomendable también para tomar un buen vino o vermú de elaboración propia. Ofrecen por gentileza de la casa pinchos muy apetecibles y abundantes. Sin duda recomendable, de lo mejorcito en A Gaiteira- Os Castros."

"Hay que acudir a este lugar considerando que se trata de una "casa de comidas" con todo lo que ello conlleva: comer muy bien, en un entorno nada pretencioso (el establecimiento data de 1947) pero con encanto, pagando el buen producto y en el que hay que ganarse al "tabernero" y no al revés. Si quieres disfrutar de los mejores callos, empanada y calamares de la ciudad en un ambiente familiar, éste es tu sitio."
